Jenny and I are well aware of the troubling times this world is experiencing. Which is why we are more motivated than ever to preach the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel into every nation, across the earth! Just as importantly, we feel an urgency to prepare the body of Christ to stand strong in faith for these days, and to be ready for the imminent return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
Jesus said we will experience times where we can easily become overwhelmed by the trouble and challenging circumstances around us. Our flesh may attempt to get the upper hand, causing us to struggle to find a reason to praise the Lord, or something to be thankful for. That will be the perfect time to shut off the distractions all around us, and place our full attention on Who the Lord is!
1 Chronicles 16:34 says, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
God is only good! Goodness is His nature, and regardless of what we are going through, He will always be good to us! Even while our attention is distracted by the challenges, He is working His goodness in our lives, but because we are not focused on it, we simply don’t see it.
The Bible says His mercies are new every morning and His love for us is steadfast! We can use our faith to receive the flow of God’s goodness and mercy towards us. Just as faith is the pipeline or conduit for the flow of God’s power in our lives, our faith draws from the source and well of God’s Spirit within us, and causes His goodness and mercy to the flow too.
How do we get our pipeline of faith to draw, unhindered, from that well? According to Romans 10:17, the force of faith comes and increases in our lives by the Word of God we hear and make our own. For some believers just knowing that His love and mercy are assigned to flow towards us each day is all it takes to receive that flow and see it manifest in our lives. For others, it may not be as easy, because somewhere along the line, our pipeline of faith has been damaged or clogged up with incorrect mindsets concerning our position in Christ. If we are not convinced that our new-man, the part of us that communes directly with God, is completely righteous before Him; and that because of the full redemption we have received from Jesus, we are never disqualified from receiving anything other God’s love, mercy and goodness – our faith to receive that flow will be hindered.
We can repair the damage to our faith pipeline and unclog the blockage by simply renewing our minds to the truth of God’s Word! Romans 3:22 says the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, is for ALL who believe! Romans 5:17 tells us our righteousness is a gift! We did nothing to earn this position with God!
We can confidently accept this position not because we are worthy, but because Jesus is! Which is why we encourage you to make every effort to turn your attention on the truth of God’s Word concerning you today, and draw from the powerful flow His mercy and goodness that has been assigned to accompany you.
Make spending time in God’s Word and meditating on its truth your greatest priority. As you do, your faith will be strengthened. Then, as you speak out His Words of truth, the power of God will be activated to flow! The result is Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”.
Oh, there is no stopping every proclaimed, faith-filled Word of God, from producing exactly what it says! It contains the same creative power God used to create the world! Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.”.
Understand, you can become well skilled at living this life-style of faith. Give yourself to God’s Word, believe what it says and speak what you believe. Faith will begin to operate with ease in your life. It’s what’s expected of you, and it is well pleasing to God!
We love and appreciate your partnership so much, and really hope to see you during our 3 city tour!
All our love,
