Jenny and I are so excited to encourage you in the Word today! This is the church’s finest hour! Every day we see Bible prophecy unfold on the world-stage, in front of our very eyes! While the world is on an unstoppable course towards a one-world leader, government, religion, military and economy; the church of Jesus Christ is awakening, like never before, to her true identity in Christ Jesus! And what a glorious reality that identity is!
This is the year where we will see the church come alive and thrive in the realisation of the glory of God being within each believer – through the indwelling Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Colossians 1:27 in the AMPC version says, “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
While our previous, sinful nature died with Christ on the cross (Romans 6:2-4), Ephesians 2:5-6 clearly tells us we were made alive together with Him, and we were raised up and seated in Him, in heavenly places!
According to Ephesians 1:17-23, Paul prayed that every believer would receive a revelation of the Person of Jesus Christ. He prayed that we would come to know who we are in Him, what we have access to because we are in Him, and all we can do through us being in Him! We are people of the glory of God, and we have been given access to enjoy everything that exists in the realm of the glory!
Colossians 3:1, “If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”
Everything that exists in the rich, eternal treasury of God’s glory realm, we are expected to aim at and seek after! Included in that rich treasury is everything that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). The wisdom and knowledge of God, the answer to every need, in fact the full blessing of the Lord is a part of what we have inherited in Christ Jesus! Devine health, mighty inner strength, prosperity, perfect love, the faith of God, peace that surpasses understanding, the limitless power of God, and the irrepressible joy of the Holy Ghost are all a part of the package! It all exists in His glory and since we have become carriers of His glory, through Christ being in us, we already posses it all! (2 Corinthians 4:7). We just need to know how to see it become our manifest reality.
Now Colossians 3:2 tells us exactly how to do that: “And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.”
In order to draw from the rich treasury of God’s glory, that already exists in our spirit-man (where the glory of God resides, through the indwelling Holy Spirit), we are to set our minds on, and keep them set on the Word of God. It’s His Word that reveals exactly what exists in the glory. The more we meditate on who the Word says God is, and who the Word says we are in Christ and what we have in Him, the more faith comes up from our spirit-man and opens the door for the flow of God’s rich treasury to be manifest in our lives.
Mark 11:23-24 clearly explains that when we believe what the Word says we are and what we can have, we are to speak what we believe, and we will have what we say! Any opposition to us having what the Word promises will move right out the way – as we speak to it and command it to leave. So speak like someone who possesses the glory of God and all it carries. Don’t grumble or complain about what you see or hear or even feel in the natural. Speak only what the Word says is true about you, about what you have, and about what you can do because of God’s indwelling glory!
Did you know that the devil and all his evil cohorts recognise the glory of God in us? They fully understand that because of it, we are able to operate in the full authority Jesus gave us and enforce the enemy’s defeat wherever we go. By this glory we are able to know God intimately, to walk with Him, and talk with Him and reflect Him in all we say and do.
This message of our true identity in Christ is what FaithTV has been commissioned to teach, preach and demonstrate to all the nations of the world! The more our voice is heard, the more the devil’s deceptive power is broken over people’s lives, and God’s kingdom purpose is advanced!
